Monday, I got an email from Bill at The Quintessential Event Company which was hosting a Graduation Marketplace Expo for Royal Oak High School, Wednesday, April 17th for their graduating class of 2013 to give them and their parents a one stop shop for all their event and upcoming graduation party needs for local bakeries, event planning services, catering, mobile gaming, photography, DJ, etc. He asked if I would be interested in participating and of course I said yes! I had to get my partner in crime Louisa involved to showcase her talent & together I think our table came out pretty well with only gathering our things such short notice plus Louisa creating some logo perfect cookies for me and she even had time to make truffles and cupcakes… all last-minute! (Good job Louisa!) Again we only planned for this Monday night and the event was Wednesday, Yikes!
Pics couresty of my trusty iPad : )
It all came together great like I knew it would, hey you’re talking about me and Louisa here, we had this! : ) The table included Louisa’s delish treats, various frames and photographs of my work and also the Senior Session Packages, a drawing to win a Free Mini Photo Shoot (winner will be posted here at 4 pm today!!!!) and some fun logo confetti and flyers.
I must highlight some of my favorite moments besides getting to meet such great fellow Royal Oakers and networking with other vendors.
You all should have guessed it…The food. Ok yea I’m greedy and I’m proud (ok I’m not proud of it) but I did not expect to have such a full belly by the time I left! OMG seriously, it was good! What was soooo good you ask???? Famous Daves Catering was there, they served this macaroni that had a lil kick to it – it was awesome. They served it with a bbq slider. Ahhhhh just thinking about it makes my mouth water. So yea I had two servings of that! The girls from Famous Daves were so personable and outgoing – we had a blast swapping food!
Lockharts BBQ. Do I need to say anymore????? If you are from Royal Oak or the surrounding cities, you’ve either been there or heard about it. And yes, it was GOOD. They served brisket and burnt ends and OMG…seriously good stuff. They also had their famously good cornbread that’s so sweet and it melts in your mouth. The girl from there was sooo nice. Again another friendly food swap lol.
I cannot leave out the two sweet girls from AirTime trampoline park who gave me a dodge ball and a tee-shirt to give me little sweetie… Cade. (Yes, I meant to say “me little”) Ok so there you have it. So by my list above you see what is dearest to my ♥… food. : )
On a serious note, we had a great time and I can tell every patron and even the other vendors we met who stopped by did too! And to top it all off Louisa and I booked 9 graduation packages including the cake/cupcakes and graduation party photography. And I booked an additional 3 senior portrait sessions. So I’m a happy camper to say the least. : )
BE BACK LATER TO POST THE WINNER OF THE MINI SESSION!!!!
